Welcome to Egret's Perch — a extravagant modern coastal marvel that blends chic design and outdoor space together ideally. This brand-new construction, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom vacation home on Oak Island has the best of both worlds, beautiful ocean and sensational marsh vistas. It's located along the marsh on the 3rd row, providing ample privacy from the backyard that features a lavish private saltwater pool, multiple lounge areas, dining space under the home, and two covered balconies. All of this while being only a short walk to beach and mins. away from the Ocean Crest Pier (about half a mile).

As you walk inside from the cavernous front porch, you'll instantly feel casual and at home in the light and bright airy ambiance! Each room is really a getaway in itself, with impeccable decor inspired by the organic colors and textures of the oceanside landscape. The main living space features an open floor plan, a coffered ceiling with handsome beams, and lavish wainscoting details. There's ample seating in front of the sizable flatscreen TV, including a distinctive modern egg-shaped chair. A few steps away is a state-of-the-art kitchen that has stainless steel appliances, a deep stainless-steel farmhouse-style sink, and impressive countertops. The charming kitchen island offers plenty of room for gathering together to prepare your favorite meals and has seating for up to 4.

When it's time to savor a meal or snack together, the refined wood dining table offers seating for up to 8. Or, you can choose to head downstairs to dine alfresco by your own private pool. Speaking of outside, you really won't encounter a more enchanting backyard than this on the island! Cool off from the warm afternoons by taking a swim and relax poolside under the patio umbrellas on the comfortable loungers, daybed, or chair. There's even a covered outdoor living space with seating, a grille, and a roomy outdoor shower under the home.

What about the bedrooms? They're just as spectacular as the rest of the home! There are two primary bedroom suites — the first is located towards the front of the home and will simply take your breath away with a view of the ocean. The ultra-high ceilings offer an abundance of natural light into the space, where you'll find a king-size bed, huge flatscreen TV, and a cozy chair. The ensuite bathroom features an extended walk-in shower, dual vanity with plenty of cabinet space, and a walk-in closet.

The second primary suite can be found on the opposite end of the home with gorgeous marsh vistas. This gorgeous bedroom features direct access to the back balcony, vaulted ceilings, a king-size bed, enormous flatscreen TV, a desk, and multiple chairs. Plus, its sizable ensuite bathroom features an extended walk-in shower and dual vanity.

Last but not least, the other two bedrooms are located off of the main hallway! One offers a opulent queen-size bed, flatscreen TV, and chair — while the other is great for the younger travelers in your group with two sets of bunk beds and a flatscreen TV. These bedrooms share a sleek bathroom that has a tub/shower combination with a double hotel-style curtain bar and a striking vanity. For additional sleeping space, you'll find a pull-out trundle couch in the living room.

But, that's only the beginning of all the amenities you'll have when you stay at this coastal getaway on OKI! From the full-size washing machine and dryer to the high-speed wireless internet, you'll find everything you need and more here. Not to mention, there's even beach gear for you to use (4 chairs, umbrella, and beach toys).

Tips to get the very best vacation rental experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Luxurious Contemporary Retreat - Private Pool, Marsh Views, 3rd Row and near pier! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
