"2 Buoys" is marsh front living at its best! We are located off the beaten path located in Palmetto Cove. House was finished in 2015. Our home is located right on the marsh with elegant sun rises! Our community offers a private dock and is ideal for crabbing, paddle boarding or kayaking. We have an open floor plan downstairs with an fresh kitchen. There are two master king suites. One being upstairs and the other downstairs. There are two other bedrooms upstairs including a queen and also a bunk room(4 twins). Outside there is a separate crofter with a king bed and bathroom.

SMOKING: Smoking is NOT allowed in any BHI Services, Inc Property. Smoking is allowed outside as long as butts and ashes are not left behind. Discard the butts and ashes in the outside garbage. Do not throw butts on the ground or bring them into the rental. If there is any tobacco odor in the home after your departure, there will be a minimum $250 charge. Oil lamps and incense are not allowed due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.
CONDUCT OF GUESTS: The rental is not intended for events, nor gatherings at any time of anyone except those who have paid to occupy the property. Exceptions are made on an individual basis - please contact BHI Services, Inc for prior approval. If there is excessive noise or music, any illegal activity, or evidence of violation of these policies, you may be asked to

vacate the premise without any refund and additional charges may be assessed.

Cost saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Bald Head Island. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain discounts for local accommodations and attractions.

Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • If there's a certain Brunswick area beach you are enamored with, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or may be applied to your invoice.

  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
