Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Brunswick area vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is high season in the Brunswick area area. Booking in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Brunswick area area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Narrow your Search:
- Start by having your group decide on the best dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Nail'D It: Second row with unobstructed Ocean View! Family and Pet friendly!! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. If not, email the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is right for your group.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Tips to have a great stay:
- Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the host immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
