Tips and Tricks to get the best Brunswick area vacation property experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Booking in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area travel guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing your prefectrental home:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Oceanview 3BR\/2BA Duplex Located Less Than a 1 Minute Walk-Sleeps6 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you book your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your family.
  • If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

Tips to have a smooth stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
