The dining area flowing into the living room and this area seats eight. Appreciate your favorite meal with appreciated ones or feast on your catch of the day from the pier. Getting the best rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Brunswick area area. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking yourrental:

  • To start, have your group select the best dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Life is Good: Ocean View Home with Private Pool has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your group.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain no damages are linked to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. text the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
