Rental booking tips and tricks:

Sticking to a budget:

  • Summer time is high season in the Brunswick area area. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Brunswick area trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Some owners offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

Finding the best vacation rental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Plumeria Haven -Exquisite high-end new construction home with sound and ocean vi has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain Brunswick area destination you simply love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
