Sit back and relax with some good ol' TV after a long day at the beach, where you can sign in to your streaming account and hit resume on that show you were watching.

All bedrooms have a TV for your convenience. The first bedroom to the right of the front door contains a queen bed. Next to it is another bedroom with a double and a twin-sized bed, and between the two bedrooms is a bathroom. Continue down the hall to find the primary bedroom, which has a king bed. The en-suite bathroom to the primary bedroom has a glass door shower, and a freestanding tub taking center stage, making this bathroom feel like your very own spa. There is also a pack 'n play and high chair available for your little ones, no need to lug those items in the car!

Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Oak Island vacation rental experience:

When to go & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Start by having your family decide on trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Seaside Escape: Quiet Neighborhood Escape Close to Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is right for your family.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.
  • Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
