Strategies for getting the perfect vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select your vacation week and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Canal Front-Short Walk to Beach!! Great location!! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • If there's a particular Brunswick area attraction you are crazy about, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
