Tips to get the best Brunswick area vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose vacation week and spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. 0914 Changes In Attitude by Atlantic Towers has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's an individual Brunswick area attraction you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

During your stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Upon arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
