Tricks and tips to get the optimal rental experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • To get the most suitable rental home for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Brunswick area attractions.
  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Brunswick area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Make a plan and choose the rightvacation home:

  • To start, have your family choose trip dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Spectacular Views Oceanfront Condo in Station One! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, call the host before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Upon arrival, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
