"Parsley" is a cherished historic sound-front bungalow where guests return year after year to experience the timeless appeal of Wrightsville Beach. With beautiful sound vistas, spectacular sunsets, and a enchanting wraparound porch lined with rocking chairs, this coastal getaway is ideal for relaxation. Just across the street, kids can splash in the gentle waters of a private beach that emerges at low tide, while adults appreciate the serenity of the lush garden by the shore. A short walk across South Lumina provides simple access to the ocean, ensuring the best of both worlds.

This beloved bungalow seamlessly blends vintage character with modern amenities. The main level features a comfortable yet functional kitchen, an inviting living and dining area, and a appealing bedroom with a twin bed. Multiple sets of French doors and windows allow the fresh ocean breeze to sweep through the home, just like in the old days. The broad shaded porch is the heart of the bungalow—ideal for unwinding in a rocking chair while appreciating the coastal air. A unique feature of this home is the full bathroom located on the porch, adding a rustic and calming touch to your stay.

Upstairs, three additional bedrooms provide plenty of space for family and friends. The first guest room offers a full and twin bed, while the two remaining bedrooms each feature two twin beds and their own private sinks—an authentic nod to the home’s history. A shared half bathroom with a striking clawfoot tub adds to the vintage appeal.

Though the bungalow’s cross breeze keeps it wonderfully cozy, modern conveniences like central heat and air, as well as ceiling fans throughout, ensure year-round comfort. However, the home is winterized and unavailable for rent from December through April.

Step back in time and experience Wrightsville Beach the way it was meant to be—peaceful, beautiful, and full of nostalgia. Don't miss your chance to stay in this really special coastal hideaway!

Rental booking tips:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in the Brunswick area area. To book the largest rental for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Brunswick area restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose and book the bestvacation home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Traditional sound front cottage w historic charm! has 4 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or might be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a particular Brunswick area attraction you are crazy about, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
