Tips and Tricks to get the optimal vacation rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- In the Brunswick area area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Brunswick area area. To find the best value, try changing your family's Brunswick area vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Start by selecting your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Luxury Custom 8 bedroom, 6 full and 2 half bath home, Private Heated Pool, Easy Beach Access has 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Tips for your stay:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
