How to find the best rental home experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • To get the best value, consider shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Brunswick area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Start by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Jasmine House Lower - 3 bedroom\/1 bath duplex in Wrightsville Beach has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Brunswick area rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
