Tips to get the optimal Brunswick area vacation property experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Brunswick area rental home:

  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer time is high season in the Brunswick area area. To get the best value, shift your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Brunswick area area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • To start, have your family decide on trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Jasmine House Upper - 3bedroom/1 bath cottage on Wrightsville Beach has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your group.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Brunswick area beach you crave, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Tips to have a smooth stay:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
