Finding the best Brunswick area vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • In the Brunswick area area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many property management companies supply Brunswick area area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Brunswick area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing and booking the bestvacation home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Dune Ridge Hideaway S has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
  • Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. E-mail the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
