Savor golf, pools, eateries and most amenities at both island clubs. This Must Be The Place is located on the 6th fairway of Bald Head Island Course, across from the Kayak Launch. You will have a choice of guest memberships at either BHI Club or the Shoals Club. The BHI membership is Lifestyle with golf available. You will be close to the marina, stores and eateries located in that part of the island.


Get out on the water! Take a calming a relaxing walk in Bald Head Creek and savor the wildlife and tranquility of the marsh. This Must Be The Place provides 2 kayaks, a huge canoe and a Stand Up Paddle Board. The Kayaks are located right across the street in the Kayak Launch area, no having to haul kayaks around.

Smith Island Museum of History and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Oak Island Lighthouse. When to visit & When to reserve a Bald Head Island rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Brunswick area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
